It’s been a little while. But this month, I’m doing something different. A few things different, actually.

Firstly, the title. Come on over to my first livestream, and hang out! I’ll be optimizing an originally Cycles scene for Eevee, as well as answering questions along the way. I’ve been meaning to try this format for a while, and now I can finally do it!

Next, I have a blog website now: blog.spencermagnusson.com

Yes, it is the same as this newsletter. Yes, I will be migrating this newsletter to the blog.

Why?

Well, this hasn’t really been a newsletter, is it? I share updates and news here, sure. But most of the time, it’s ramblings and reflections. I’m quite proud of them. But it’s not really a newsletter. I’ve always envisioned this as more of a blog, and I’d rather it be treated as such, on its own website.

One day, for a bigger project with more niche content than “about me,” maybe I’ll start a newsletter specifically for that. Then I can actually ask people to subscribe for content that’s more consistent. But this isn’t really that.

So yeah, check out my blog. It’s got all the bells and whistles, including an RSS feed (which Beehiiv doesn’t hide, ahem), light and dark themes, and search functionality. I haven’t found any way to forward RSS to email without a third-party website and an account, but I’ll keep looking.

For the very, very, very few of you that subscribed as email recipients, I cannot thank you enough. You being willing to hear from me this way has been so validating. One of the most thankless things you can do is be a small creator online. Few listen, let alone reply, and good feedback is even rarer.
